Although I have never worked with Lana directly, except on telephone consultation, as her personal veterinarian, I have been the recipient of her extraordinary skills in organizing, planning and following through with leadership of numerous pot bellied pig symposiums. The difficulty of organizing these events gives testimony to her administrative, motivational and interpersonal skills. Skills required would include working directly with veterinary colleges, veterinarians and their staffs, fundraising, and public communication. These skills should serve her well in any area of management that would be required in maintaining a mixed species animal sanctuary.
